Privacy Policy

Last updated June 17, 2026

ClassShuffle is operated by John Humbert. For support, billing, privacy, account deletion, feedback, or data requests, contact classshufflesupport@gmail.com.

ClassShuffle is built for teachers to create classroom groups and seating-style group displays. The app is designed to use only the classroom information needed for that purpose.

Information We Collect

If you sign in, Firebase Authentication may provide your teacher name, email address, user ID, and sign-in provider. When you create classes, ClassShuffle stores the class names and settings you choose to save.

Teachers may enter student names, display names, front-of-room preferences, support partner rules, separation rules, saved groups, and related classroom settings. Students do not need accounts.

How We Use Information

We use this information only to provide ClassShuffle features: saving rosters, creating random groups, remembering class settings, syncing your classes across devices, and letting you delete or export your data.

Student Information

Students do not create accounts, do not sign in, and do not enter information directly into ClassShuffle. Teachers control the roster information they add.

Advertising and Sale of Data

ClassShuffle does not sell student data, does not run targeted ads, and does not use roster data for advertising.

Storage and Service Providers

Signed-in class data is stored with Firebase services from Google. Firebase Authentication supports Google and Microsoft sign-in, and Firestore stores saved ClassShuffle data. Stripe processes payments, subscriptions, and billing-management sessions for paid plans.

These services receive information only as needed to provide sign-in, cloud saving, billing, subscription status, security, and support for ClassShuffle features.

Teacher Controls

Teachers can export class information, delete individual classes, delete all ClassShuffle class data, or request account and data deletion from inside the app or by contacting support.

If you delete information, it may not be recoverable in the app. Copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backups according to those providers' normal backup and retention practices.

School and District Review

ClassShuffle is designed to support responsible classroom use of student information. Schools and districts are responsible for reviewing and approving technology according to their own policies and legal requirements.

Security

ClassShuffle uses Firebase Authentication and cloud storage rules to protect saved class data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so teachers should avoid adding sensitive details that are not needed for grouping.
